Ramdan and working Muslims living in non-muslim countries.

Let’s talk about Ramadan and anxiety or overwhelm.

Some Muslims living a in non-Muslim country may be:

  • Overwhelmed by the expectations and fatigue while fasting
  • Struggling with fasting
  • Anxious about how you will get through the long work day
  • Not relate to the excitement others share on social media

Then the inner chatter will maybe tell you, you should be ashamed of yourself and your feelings, you are not a good Muslim, you are not a good believer.

It is ok, to think and feel all of this and remember, you are already doing a good job.

Remember, they are just feelings triggered by your thoughts about Ramadan and your harsh judgement of yourself.

Just do your best and Allah will reward you.

Allah knows what you are thinking and all the reasons behind. Remember what Allah says : ‘’ We are closer to him than his neck-vein ‘’ 16 Qaf  You are not being ungrateful or a bad Muslim.

You are being a Human.

Welcome Ramadan the best way you can and have faith in Allah, He almighty will give you all the power you need to fast and live the best month of the year.

Ramadan Kareem
